Community Engagement

For nearly 60 years, St-Hubert has committed to fulfilling an important philanthropic role by helping to improve the quality of life in the communities we serve. We devote at least 1% of our before-tax profits to initiatives that share our core values. This helps us establish solid community ties and win the hearts and minds of our customers.
Our donation policy allows us to concentrate our efforts and financial contributions on specific sectors of activity, namely health and wellness, education, arts and culture. The two main charities we support are the Fondation Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau and United Way/Centraide. In addition, a number of our franchisees play a front-line role in terms of supporting worthwhile endeavours within their communities.
The Fondation Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau
Established in 1990, the Fondation Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau is dedicated to giving children with cancer the best chances of recovery by supporting research and financing the creation and continued development of the Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau of the CHU Sainte-Justine.
We have been committed to this cause for the past 12 years. Every year, St-Hubert organizes a network-wide fundraising campaign for the Fondation Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau. Customers, franchisees, employees, Head Office and Commercial Division personnel and Company suppliers are invited to participate in this annual campaign. Their generosity has made it possible for us to donate over $2 million to the Foundation. Jean-Pierre Léger's personal involvement in this cause is an inspiration: not only does he serve on the Foundation's Board of Directors, he also raised visibility for its works by climbing Mount Everest in the spring of 2010.
United Way/Centraide
St-Hubert is also a supporter of United Way/Centraide. Every fall, our employees give generously to our workplace campaign to support this organization dedicated to improving the lives of the least fortunate and most vulnerable members of the community. Together, the St-Hubert Head Office and our staff donate around $75,000 annually to the Centraide fundraising campaign.
