How should dehydrated products be stored?

Seasonings and spices should be stored in a cool and dry area, removed from heat, humidity and direct sunlight. Avoid storage next to the stove, the dishwasher, the sink or windows.

How long can dehydrated products be stored?

Sealed and closed products preserve their microbiological quality, and product consumption is safe for an indefinite period. However, to ensure maximum freshness and taste, we recommend consuming the products within a six-month period following the date of purchase.

Once prepared, products should be treated the same as fresh food. They will keep in the refrigerator for upto 3 days in a sealed container.

When required by product directions, what type of milk can be used?

All types of milk can be used (whole milk, 2%, 1%, skim milk). However, milk that is higher in fat will make a creamier and tastier sauce.

Can milk be substituted with other liquids?

Water and broth may be used as substitutes. Although they may affect a product’s flavour and consistency, some consumers prefer them.

What to do when a sauce is too thick?

Sauces might thicken when chilled before serving. However, ideal consistency can be restored by adding 1 to 2 tablespoons of milk or water (depending on the product) and by stirring the sauce over low heat before serving.
