This Privacy Policy applies to this website (the “Website”) in addition to any other Platform (as defined below) made available by Groupe St-Hubert Ltée (“St-Hubert”) or its parent company Recipe Unlimited Corporation (“RECIPE”, as further defined below) to manage their business activities involving an interaction with you.

Without limiting foregoing, and for the sake of clarity, this policy applies to the following websites: st-hubert.com, order.st-hubert.com, lelarge.ca, suwong.ca, atable.ca and foreverchef. com.

St-Hubert is now part of a group of restaurant banners that are corporate affiliates, divisions, or franchisees of RECIPE (the “RECIPE Group”). As a result, policies and procedures related to the management of your Personal Information processed by or on behalf of St-Hubert are generally established and enforced by RECIPE in accordance with the terms set out in this Privacy Policy.

The RECIPE Group recognizes your right to privacy and is strongly committed to protecting the privacy of all guests in St-Hubert’s restaurants, users of St-Hubert’s call-ahead take-out and delivery services, as well as user of this Website and any other Platform through which you communicate with St-Hubert. The intent of this Privacy Policy is to detail our policies and procedures regarding the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information you choose to share with the RECIPE Group through your interactions with the St-Hubert banner.
 

Your Consent

By providing your Personal Information to St-Hubert, you consent to the collection, use and disclosure of your information by the RECIPE Group in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy. If we, St-Hubert, change our Privacy Policy, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we disclose it. Any changes to our Privacy Policy will be effective and binding on you immediately following the posting of such changes on this Website or any Platform that we make available to you. Definitions

Information of a Non-Personal Nature” means any non-confidential, non-proprietary and non-personal information derived from your use of this Website or any Platform that we make available to you, such as your Internet browser, domain name and referrer link.

Platform(s)” means, other than this Website, any software program, software interface or other technology made available to you by the RECIPE Group or by third parties it has retained including, without limitation, St-Hubert’s mobile application or St-Hubert’s WiFi service.
 

Information of a Non-Personal Nature

As a general policy, with the exception of IP addresses, no Personal Information is automatically collected by the RECIPE Group from users of this Website or any Platform. The RECIPE Group may gather and analyse IP addresses and certain Information of a Non-Personal Nature regarding usage of this Website or any Platform. Such data is used in an aggregate form to assist the RECIPE Group in determining general usage patterns and to administer, diagnose problems with, and fine tune the layout of this Website and Platform(s). We may share non-personal, summary, or aggregate customer data with partners and other third parties at our discretion.

Collection of Personal Information

All Personal Information that is collected by the RECIPE Group (and third parties retained by St-Hubert and/or RECIPE to perform business activities on its behalf) is collected voluntarily and knowingly in the context of your visit to St-Hubert or through your interactions with this Website or any Platform made available to you.

More specifically, in connection with such interactions with the St-Hubert banner, you may be asked to provide your name, date of birth, e-mail address, mailing address, telephone number, credit card information, food preferences as well as certain other Personal Information that may be necessary for the RECIPE Group to perform a business activity from time to time.

The RECIPE Group (and third parties retained by St-Hubert and/or RECIPE) may collect the types of Personal Information described above notably in the following circumstances: 

  • when you place an order through this Website or Platforms;
  • when you subscribe to mailing lists, newsletters and email communications;
  • when you respond to surveys distributed in restaurants or online;
  • when you participate in contests or promotions;
  • when you make a booking in a restaurant;
  • when you want to find the location of a restaurant;
  • when you communicate with the RECIPE Group to ask a question, submit a comment or file a complaint (customer service).

This Website and the other Platforms made available by the RECIPE Group do not necessarily allow for the collection of your Personal Information in all of the circumstances described above. For example, when you visit the corporate sites lelarge.ca, suwong.ca, atable.ca and foreverchef.com, the collection of your Personal Information is limited to your IP address and the information that you may voluntarily disclose in the "contact us” form, in addition to what could be collected by the Cookies in the manner described above. Personal information voluntarily disclosed on these sites will be treated in accordance with this Privacy policy.

A large portion of the Personal Information that is collected through your interactions with the St-Hubert banner is, in fact, collected by third parties retained by St-Hubert and/or RECIPE to assist in the performance of some of its business activities. Notably, but without limitation, the RECIPE Group uses third parties that offer products or services that provide assistance in performing the following business activities: customer relationship management (CRM), eCommerce, online surveys, restaurant bookings, WiFi portal, donations and point-of-sale equipment.

We may also collaborate with third parties who gather Personal Information or Information of a Non-Personal Nature in the following manners:

  • in order to benefit from certain features of Google Analytics including, without limitation, the creation of reports based on the saved impressions on the Google Display Network or providing the demographic data of Internet users and their interests; and
  • in order to collect, analyze and/or gather your Personal Information (such as Internet users’ IP address, gender, age and interests) in order to help us understand how visitors interact with this Website and Platform(s), in order for us to improve other products and services.

The RECIPE Group only authorizes its service providers and business partners that collect your Personal Information to process it to perform defined business activities on its behalf. It is however important to note that your use of certain functionalities that are managed by third parties and that are integrated to this Website or the Platform(s) may be subject to privacy statements, notices and terms of use that are separate and independent from this Privacy Policy. It is your responsibility to review these documents as they are made available for your review on the Platform(s), the whole in order to understand the practices and procedures of these third parties in relation to the management of your Personal Information. The RECIPE Group has no control over these third parties and, as a result, the RECIPE Group assumes no responsibility for the manner in which these third parties may collect, use, communicate, obtain or otherwise treat your Personal Information.

The RECIPE Group shall use all commercially reasonable efforts to protect your Personal Information. If you do not want us to have access to your Personal Information, please do not provide it to us. When you do provide your Personal Information, you are authorizing us to use it in accordance with the terms of the Privacy Policy and any other applicable terms, including your right to limit our use of the Personal Information (see “Who to Contact” below).
 

Use and Disclosure of Personal Information

The RECIPE Group may process your Personal Information to create your own user account, to contact you by e-mail or otherwise, to process an online or phone order, to manage a restaurant booking, to manage your use of the Website or any other Platform, to respond to a communication received from you, to better understand you and how we can improve your experience with us, our products and services notably through survey results, or for other purposes that may be disclosed to you from time to time including, as an example only, to manage any contest/promotion or manage any donation that you might make to the St-Hubert Foundation. We may also match your Personal Information that you provide to us with other information contained in the RECIPE Group’s databases. The RECIPE Group reserves the right to process Personal Information where required to comply with applicable laws or lawful government requests or, in the RECIPE Group’s reasonable opinion, to operate this Website or any Platform properly and securely, or to protect the RECIPE Group or users of this Website or any Platform.

Your Personal Information may be stored on servers hosted in the United States or otherwise outside of Canada, for example by a third-party service provider, and such personal information may be subject to disclosure in accordance with applicable laws in such jurisdictions. The RECIPE Group takes all measures reasonably necessary to ensure that any Personal Information transferred outside of Canada is treated securely and in accordance with the data protection laws applicable in the jurisdiction in which the information is processed. Note however that these laws may not provide the same level of protection as Canadian privacy laws.
 

Security of Personal Information

The RECIPE Group has implemented and applies reasonable administrative, technical and physical measures aiming to protect the Personal Information in its custody and control against unauthorized access, use, modification and disclosure.

The RECIPE Group has personal information retention processes designed to retain personal information for no longer than necessary for the purposes stated above or to otherwise meet legal requirements.

The RECIPE Group also take special measures to assess the potential risks associated with the disclosure of your Personal Information. In the event of a security breach, i.e. if your personal information is lost, disclosed without your authorization or becomes accessible to an unauthorized person, we will inform you of such a breach if it involves a real risk of significant harm. For example, a real risk of significant harm includes bodily harm, humiliation, loss of professional opportunity, financial loss or identity theft. If the breach creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you directly as soon as possible. If we cannot notify you directly, we will notify you of the breach through public communication. We will provide you with the information you need to understand the importance of the security breach and take the necessary steps to reduce the risk of harm that may result therefrom. We will also report the security breach to government authorities and any other organization that we believe may reduce the risk of harm that may result from this breach. We keep a record of all security breaches. Following a security breach, the RECIPE Group investigates its causes and reviews the protective measures in place to prevent future breaches.
 

A Note to Parents

The RECIPE Group is very sensitive to privacy issues and is committed to protecting the online privacy of children and making the Internet safe for our users. As a result, no Personal Information should be submitted to or posted on this site by children under the age of 18 without their parent’s or guardian’s permission. In addition, if a user younger than 18 wishes to send us Personal Information, he or she must first give us his or her parent’s or guardian’s e-mail address so that we can obtain their permission or have the child’s parent or guardian consent on his or her behalf. No Personal Information will knowingly be accepted from a child under 18 before this permission is obtained. Be assured that the RECIPE Group will not condition a child’s participation in any website activity on the child’s disclosure of more Personal Information than is reasonably necessary to participate in that activity.

If your child has already provided us with Personal Information, you may ask to see this information for the purpose of correcting it or ask us to delete this information from our records entirely (see “Who to Contact” below.)
