Carbon Neutral Delivery

Carbon Neutral Delivery

70 years of delivery and a promise for the environment.

Our carbon-neutral delivery service

Investing for the Environment

The company’s delivery service carbon neutrality is part of a comprehensive sustainable development plan. Thus, from 2021 to 2026, St-Hubert will invest more than $200,000 in purchasing carbon credits to make its delivery service carbon neutral. On top of this investment, St-Hubert and its franchisees keep working at increasing the number of electric and hybrid cars for the banner. To date, more than 20% of our delivery car fleet – which has more than 400 vehicles – is either electric or hybrid. With a carbon neutral delivery service, St-Hubert retains its pioneer role in the industry.

“St-Hubert has always been about daring to innovate and make a real difference for customers and local communities. We’re very proud to offer now a carbon-neutral delivery service and to be making this announcement as we celebrate our 70th anniversary.”

- Richard Scofield, President, St-Hubert Group

Purchasing Carbon Credits in Quebec

To achieve its commitment to making its delivery service carbon neutral, St-Hubert turned to Les Solutions WILL, a Canadian B Corp certified company headquartered in Beloeil in Quebec. For more than 12 years, the company has supported Quebec small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) in reducing their greenhouse gases (GHGs), namely through its “Sustainable Community” project. This project, certified by the recognized VCS-VERRA program, is a catalyst for local actions that makes it possible for various stakeholders to take action in reducing their GHG emissions. Each carbon credit purchased equals to one (1) ton of GHS reduced by SMEs, municipalities, and community organizations in Quebec. All reductions are qualified, measured, checked by an external auditor, and entered in the VCS-VERRA Voluntary Carbon Market Program register.

Founding Member of Hydro-Québec’s Electric Circuit

Providing charging infrastructures to Quebec electric vehicle drivers reflects St-Hubert’s corporate culture. This is why we became founding partner of the Electric Circuit powered by Hydro-Québec in 2011. The purpose of this revolutionary public charging station project is to reduce CO2 emissions caused by all types of transportation throughout the province. At our rotisseries, electric charging stations were installed wherever possible.

We also electrified an original 1967 Beetle to mark our 70th anniversary. Find out here.
