LES ROTISSERIES ST-HUBERT | ST-HUBERT GROUP
Universal accessibility means designing environments, products and services that are usable by everyone-regardless of their abilities, limitations or circumstances. It reflects a deeply human vision: enabling all individuals to fully participate in society with dignity and autonomy. This approach goes beyond physical needs, considering sensory, cognitive, technological and cultural aspects, offering an inclusive experience for everyone.
Les Rôtisseries St-Hubert's Accessibility Policy is intended to:
Since 1951, Les Rôtisseries St-Hubert has placed customer well-being and satisfaction at the heart of its values. Integrating an accessibility policy across all its restaurants and sites (head office, factories, distribution and customer services centres) reinforces the inclusive culture, grounded in respect, openness and the humility to learn from other people's diverse realities.
At Les Rôtisseries St-Hubert, we are committed to fostering an inclusive environment that promotes the full autonomy of individuals with disabilities. Guided by our values of inclusion and the growing movement toward universal accessibility, this essential principle is integrated from the very beginning of every project-whether it involves new developments, restaurant renovations, strategic planning or policies and regulations. We are committed to offering services adapted to all our customers' needs, including those with disabilities. We go out of our way to provide a welcoming, accessible and barrier-free experience-whether they are attitudinal, communicational, systemic, physical or technological-so that individuals are supported according to their specific needs.
This policy applies to all our restaurants and administrative facilities. We are committed to making every reasonable effort to:
At St-Hubert, we firmly believe that every individual deserves high-quality service, regardless of whether they have a disability. All our operations and communications include accessibility that is grounded in respect and dignity.
When interacting with individuals with disabilities, we adapt our approach to their specific needs, always with respect and a sincere desire to deliver an exceptional experience that meets our customer service standards. We want our employees to feel confident and supported when serving customers with disabilities. If any questions or concerns arise about how to better meet their needs, we encourage employees to discuss it with a manager.
We support the use of assistive devices and accessories at our restaurants and workplaces for easy access to our services. Tools such as walkers, wheelchairs or oxygen tanks help our guests fully enjoy their experience with us. These needs are carefully considered in all renovations and constructions projects. Our priority is to create an environment where each customer feels autonomous and welcomed.
Our restaurant menu is available on our website and mobile app.
St-Hubert Group has launched new inclusive initiatives since April 2023. In partnership with Fondation Autiste & majeur and supported by Giant Steps Autism Centre, we introduced a pilot project to welcome autistic individuals at our restaurants. On Sundays at lunch, a calmer dining environment is provided for our autistic customers, where participating restaurants offer reduced sensory stimulation (noise, lighting, music), sensory kits and appropriate seating. Following the project's success, these measures have been permanently implemented at more than 30 inclusive rotisseries, with more locations joining the initiative each month.
We are pleased to welcome individuals with disabilities who are accompanied by a service animal.
A service animal is one that assists an individual with disability-related needs. This may be visible or confirmed with a letter from a medical professional. Service animals include guide dogs, autism support dogs, mobility assistance dogs and seizure alert dogs.
Service animals are permitted in all publicly accessible areas at our restaurants, unless prohibited by municipal or provincial regulations.
Service animals must remain in their handler's care and control at all times.
If you have any questions or concerns about a service animal, please speak with a manager.
Support persons accompanying customers with disabilities are, of course, welcome and are treated with the same respect and courtesy as all our guests. A support person is someone who assists with communication, personal care, medical needs, or access to various services.
If a planned or unplanned service disruption affects our facilities or services for individuals with disabilities, restaurant managers or supervisors will ensure that customers and employees are informed through a clearly visible notice. The notice should include the reason for the disruption, the expected duration, and available alternative options, if applicable.
Any employees who interact with customers or who are involved in policy development must undergo training on how to appropriately serve individuals with disabilities. Developed in collaboration with RAPLIQ, this training ensures respectful service, communication and support for individuals with disabilities or impairments.
Training includes:
St-Hubert Group is committed to maintaining and continually improving an inclusive workplace culture. We strive to create a welcoming environment across all our locations: our restaurants, administrative offices, distribution centres, call centre and food manufacturing plants.
St-Hubert upholds the principle of workplace equity. Equal work deserves equal pay. All employees-regardless of gender or disability-receive equal compensation and conditions for comparable skills and responsibilities. Our head office complies with accessibility standards, including designated parking spaces, adapted restrooms and elevators for individuals with reduced mobility.
St-Hubert is committed to offering adapted employment to autistic individuals at our restaurants and call centre. Given the diversity of profiles and needs, accommodations are personalized, and we partner with Giant Steps to implement necessary adjustments. The organization currently provides guidance and coaching to franchisees and managers throughout the hiring and retention process.
St-Hubert also offers adapted roles at its Boisbriand manufacturing plant. Adjustments are made using an inclusive approach tailored to autistic employees with communication, sensory sensitivities, or difficulty with social interaction and behaviour. This individualized and tailored approach ensures that each employee is equipped both for the job and for working in the plant environment.
St-Hubert employs individual who are blind or visually impaired at its Customer Service Centre (CSC). To ensure their well-being, St-Hubert partnered with Institut Nazareth, a centre that provides resources to individuals with visual impairments so that these employees are equipped to work comfortably and efficiently from their home.
Les Rôtisseries St-Hubert's Design & Construction team is committed to meeting-and, where possible, exceeding the accessibility standards set out in building codes when designing public spaces in new builds or major renovations. We also welcome suggestions and ideas to help us improve, so that our customers feel welcomed and treated with dignity at all our locations.
We are implementing a process to receive and respond to feedback about accessibility for individuals with disabilities. Les Rôtisseries St-Hubert also formed a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee to address unresolved issues or suggestions that require further attention.
