Ragout Sauce Mix



Make your stews more flavourful with this mild spice and herbs mix. Simply add water and warm. Can be prepared in the microwave or on the stove.


  1. Empty contents of pouch into a saucepan.

  2. Whisk in 750 mL (3 cups) of cold water. Mix well.

  3. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.

  4. Reduce heat and simmer 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.


  1. Mix 750g (1 1/2 lbs) ground meat of your choice with 1 egg and 125 mL (1/2 cup) of breadcrumbs.
  2. Season to taste and shape into meatballs.
  3. Add meatballs to sauce and simmer gently, uncovered, stirring occasionally, until meatballs are cooked, about 30 minutes.
