Baguette with Onion Soup Topping

Portions: 4 mains or 8 appetizers

Ingredients List

  • 1 pouch (28 g) St-Hubert Onion Gravy Mix
  • 1 package (250 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1 baguette
  • 1 ½ c (375 ml) grated Emmenthal or Swiss cheese

Preparation Instructions

  1. Preheat the broiler.
  2. Mix cream cheese with the onion gravy mix and green onions.
  3. Cut the baguette in half, lengthwise.
  4. Spread the onion cheese mixture onto the bread and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Garnish with Emmenthal and bake until golden brown.
  6. Cut into chunks and serve as is or with soup or salad.

Notes:

  • To serve as an appetizer, slice the baguette and garnish following the steps.
