Crispy Chicken Sub

Ingredients List

  • 1 box (550 g) St-Hubert Chicken Breast Strips or Fillets
  • 3 tbsp (45 ml) honey
  • 1/4 c (60 ml) mustard
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 box 8 oz (227 g) mushrooms, sliced
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 4 submarine rolls 6" or 7" (15 to 17.5 cm)
  • 8 slices mozzarella, cheddar, Gouda, Swiss or havarti cheese
  • 1 c (250 ml) lettuce, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • To taste, St-Hubert BBQ Seasoning

Preparation Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 °F (230 °C).
  2. Place the chicken on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cook according to package instructions.
  3. In the meantime, mix the honey and mustard
  4. Heat the butter in a pan on medium high and sauté the mushroom for 5 minutes.
  5. Place opened buns on a baking sheet.
  6. Cover bottom half with cheese slices and bake for 2-3 minutes or until cheese is melted and golden brown.
  7. Top with crispy chicken, sautéed onions and mushrooms, honey mustard sauce, lettuce, tomatoes and sprinkle with BBQ seasoning.

Note :

  • Chicken fillets can be cooked in the deep fryer or in the air fryer.
